Agency Open House 2009 - Kreta Ayer Volunteer Service Group

The much awaited Agency Open House "Learn & Share" programme 2009 debuts with the featured agency - Kreta Ayer Volunteer Service Group. A club-based volunteer welfare organisation serving the lone elderly residing at one-room rental flats at Banda Street (Chinatown area), Kreta Ayer Volunteer Service Group has been around for many years.

The volunteers visit the lone elderly on weekday (Wednesday) nights to help them with chores, reading letters and engage them in exercise, handicraft-making in the hope of bringing joy, warmth and concern to these elderly.

Through the agency open house, we hope that participating volunteers can learn / exchange new ideas on weekly activities, events/outings organizing and volunteer management, and bring back to their own agencies good practices learnt during the session.
